Cost Wise Services was founded by Marilu Clifton in late 2007. After attending University of Memphis, Ms. Clifton began her career as a cost analysis and later moved into managing payables and other operations. Ms. Clifton brings over 20 years of experience in cost analysis, expense reduction, information processing and quality assurance management. She has been certified as a lead auditor for ISO 9001:2000 and has created quality systems as well as administrate the certification process (with no nonconformances found). She also has experience with preparing companies for SAS 70 certification. Ms. Clifton has a vast knowledge of the operations in the manufacturing, insurance,retail, medical, non-profit, government and other industries.

Cost Wise Services is structured and staffed to support small to medium sized companies. While Cost Wise Services only supports a small internal staff, it has partnered with a network of consultants and contractors to give our clients just the support they need. These consultants and contractors are an extension of Cost Wise Services and we maintain the direct client contact and responsibility for the service. Our staff offers knowledgeable skills to assist with your accounts payables and budgeting operations as well as consult on process improvements. If the client wants to outsource accounts payable, we can do that. If the client wants to keep operations in-house, but needs some help to improve, we can do that too. Cost Wise Services tries to be flexible with our clients in delivering the service they need...and how they need it. The pricing is just "icing on the cake".
